The Napa to Sonoma Wine Country Half Marathon is a popular 13.1-mile point-to-point race held annually in July. It is widly recognized for it's scenic route through California's premier wine regions and it's festive, party-like atmosphere, often being ranked among the best half marathons in the United States.
Sonoma's Vintage & Harvest Festival: September 24th-27th
The Valley of the Moon Vintage Festival is California's oldest running festival, a community-driven celebration of the grape harvest and Sonoma Valley's agricultural heritage. Established in 1897, the festival takes place annually in late September at the historic Sonoma Plaza.
November's Lighting of the Sonoma Plaza: November 2026 TBD
The Lighting of the Plaza is an annual spectacle and heartwarming small town holiday festival. Thousands of lights will be illuminated around the historic plaza, including City Hall, while local dancers and musicians perform for the crowd. Visitors can also eat, shop and taste around the Plaza. The beloved annual community event marks the official start of the holiday season, and transforms the 8-acre historic park into a "sparkling nightly spectacle".
